UPDATED CORONAVIRUS STATEMENT

At Dolphin Stairlifts in Cornwall, the health and safety of our customers is our number one priority. We hope that you are all safe and well at this uncertain and difficult time.

We are acutely aware that our customer base includes some of the most clinically vulnerable groups that are at higher risk from coronavirus. As a result, we would like to reassure everyone that we are taking every possible step to protect people and comply with government advice relating to social distancing. Following consultation with our trade body the BHTA, we are continuing to work within people’s homes where appropriate while following specified government guidelines.

The list below details the steps that we have already taken and these are subject to regular review as the ongoing situation develops over time. Please note, this is a summary of our safeguarding policy and our full policy is available on request.

  • All staff and sub-contractors have been made aware that they must self-isolate if they are showing covid related symptoms including a high temperature or new continuous cough.
  • Each member of staff must confirm their health status on a daily basis.
  • If any staff member lives with someone that has coronavirus symptoms, they must stay at home and self-isolate for 14 days.
  • Staff have been made aware of the need to regularly wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitiser when soap and water are not available.
  • All non-essential visits, meetings and travel have been cancelled for the foreseeable future.
  • All of our engineers have been issued with PPE including gloves, masks and shoe protectors.
  • Before visiting customers, we will ask if they have coronavirus symptoms or if they have been exposed to people showing symptoms. If there is any possibility that they have been exposed to the virus, we will postpone the visit.
  • Prior to visiting your property, our friendly office staff will call you to check if you would like to go ahead with the appointment or if you would prefer to postpone the appointment to a later date.
  • Our staff that can work from home have been advised to do so until further notice, however, this does not affect our ability to give us customers the undivided attention they deserve.
  • Dolphin stairlifts promote a non-handshaking policy and always practising social distancing.

We understand that our products and services are essential for our customer’s health and safety, therefore, we continue to install, service and repair our mobility equipment wherever possible. In addition, in order for us to help to relieve pressure on the NHS, we are continuing to attend to enquiries from people that have an urgent need for stairlift installation and repair. In some cases, it may be possible for us to carry out a stairlift assessment without having to visit your home. For more details, please get in touch.

At Dolphin Stairlifts in Cornwall, we are doing everything we can to continue to provide our customers with the best possible service during this unprecedented crisis.

If you have any concerns or questions about our covid safe policy or if you have any concerns at all, please feel free to contact me directly on 01736 850 044 or via email at admin@dolphinstairlifts.co.uk.

Stay safe.
